D2R Ladder Season 16: November 13 Start, Patch 3.4 Item Changes and Reset Times
It's official: Diablo II: Resurrected Ladder Season 16 starts on Friday, November 13 at 5:00 PM PST, and Season 15 closes four days earlier, on Monday, November 9 at 11:00 AM PST. Blizzard announced the schedule on October 30 together with the Patch 3.4 notes, and this season's item list is a big one. Nineteen uniques and runewords plus a full set get reworked, Eternity can now be made in bows, and ten items that were Ladder-only last season move into Non-Ladder.
This guide covers the exact reset times for your region, the stash deadline that wipes items on November 9, every Patch 3.4 change with the real numbers, the character conversion change on November 16, and a checklist to be ready for day one.
Season 16 at a Glance
- Season 15 ends: Monday, November 9, 11:00 AM PST.
- Patch 3.4 rolls out: starting Monday, November 9.
- Season 16 starts: Friday, November 13, 5:00 PM PST (early Saturday, November 14 in Europe and Asia).

Daylight saving time has ended in both the US and Europe, so the times below use winter time (PST, GMT, CET, EET).
Season 15 ends: Monday, November 9
- 11:00 AM PST / 2:00 PM EST
- 19:00 UTC / GMT (UK)
- 20:00 CET (Berlin, Paris, Warsaw)
- 21:00 EET (Athens, Sofia, Bucharest)
Season 16 starts: Friday, November 13 (Saturday, November 14 outside the Americas)
- North America: Friday, 5:00 PM PST / 8:00 PM EST

- Central Europe: Saturday, 02:00 CET
- Eastern Europe: Saturday, 03:00 EET

How the Changeover Works This Time
Since Season 15, Blizzard has separated the ladder end from the new ladder start. This time the patch begins rolling out on November 9, the same day Season 15 closes (last season it came a day later), and Season 16 opens four days after that. Season 15 will have run for 80 days, from August 21 to November 9.
In practice, that means no active ladder from Monday to Friday. Use those four days to sort your Non-Ladder stash, set up mules and plan your Season 16 starter.
Deadline: Empty Your "Past" Tabs Before November 9
Blizzard confirms the usual ladder-end rules. When Season 15 ends, your Ladder characters move to their Non-Ladder group, and your Season 15 shared stash becomes a new set of withdraw-only tabs marked with a checked "Past" box. You'll have all of Season 16 to take those items out.
The important part: any Season 14 items still in your withdraw-only tabs will be lost on November 9. If you played Season 14 ladder, log in with a Non-Ladder character in the same mode (Softcore with Softcore, Hardcore with Hardcore), open the shared stash, look for the "Past" tabs and move anything you want to keep onto a character. Our Season 15 ending guide walks through it step by step.
Character Conversion Change on November 16
Starting November 16, players will no longer be able to convert Expansion (LoD) Online characters, Ladder or Non-Ladder, to Reign of the Warlock. Offline characters can still be converted, and Classic-to-Expansion (LoD) conversions are still available.
If you have Online LoD characters you've been meaning to bring into Reign of the Warlock, do it before November 16. After that, the option is gone for online characters.
Ladder-Only Items Moving to Non-Ladder
As Blizzard puts it, "previously updated Ladder-only items will be available in Non-Ladder with the new season." These are the Patch 3.3 versions from Season 15, and they become available in Online Non-Ladder (Reign of the Warlock only):
- Angelic Raiment (set)
- Bane Ash, Blinkbat's Form, Bloodletter, Gravenspine
- Manald Heal, Pluckeye, Rogue's Bow, The Battlebranch
- The Ward
For what changed on each of these, see the Patch 3.3 recap in our Season 15 ending guide.
Patch 3.4 Item Changes: The Full List
All of these changes apply to Online Ladder and Offline, Reign of the Warlock only. The Classic and Expansion (LoD) versions are unchanged. Following last season's pattern, they should reach Online Non-Ladder when the next season starts.

What It Means for Season 16
Eternity is the one to watch. Allowing it in 5-socket missile weapons opens up a brand-new bow option, and the higher damage, the attack speed and the Revive oskill make it far more interesting than before. Its recipe needs a Ber and a Sur, two of the scarcest runes in the first weeks of any ladder, so expect demand for both to rise once players start chasing it.
Several leveling and mid-game items got much better. The Atlantean now gives Paladins +2–5 Zeal at required level 35 instead of 42. Isenhart's Armory adds 30% run speed and 25% hit recovery as a full set. Silks of the Victor picks up run speed, attack speed and magic find. All of these are cheap to find compared with endgame gear, so they could become popular stepping stones in the first week.
Class items got targeted help. Demonhorn's Edge gets +1 to Barbarian skills, Grim's Burning Dead +1 Necromancer skill level and a Fire Golem bonus, Earthshaker a Fire Claw bonus for Druids, and The Salamander more fire skills and faster casting.
What isn't in this patch: no class skill changes, no Terror Zone or Sunder Charm changes, and no changes to Mosaic, Spirit or Stealth. That fits what Principal Producer Matt Cederquist said at BlizzCon: item reworks arrive "little by little" each season, and the team is taking its time to get Mosaic right. Last season's batch was about ten items plus a set; this one is nineteen plus a set.

Your Season 16 Checklist
Before Monday, November 9 (11:00 AM PST):
- Empty any Season 14 items from your "Past" withdraw-only tabs. After the 9th they're gone.
- Finish anything you still want to do on the Season 15 ladder, and decide what to trade while the ladder population is still active.
- Make a couple of Non-Ladder mules in each mode for the items your Season 15 characters bring across.
Before November 16:
- Convert any Online Expansion (LoD) characters you want in Reign of the Warlock.
November 9–13 (the gap):
- Install Patch 3.4 as soon as it's out, so you're not patching on launch night.
- Pick your starter. The changes above don't touch class skills, so our Season 15 tier list is still a solid guide to the strongest openers.
Ladder start (November 13, 5:00 PM PST):
- Runes and runewords are scarcest in the first days. If you want a fast start, our Ladder Starter Pack and Ladder Start Mercenary Pack gear a fresh character quickly, and our leveling service can handle the climb.
- Planning an Eternity bow, an Enigma or other high-rune gear? The high runes Ber, Jah, Sur, Lo and Ohm are in our rune catalog. Choose Ladder in the selector on each item page once Season 16 is live. Our From Scratch to Enigma guide shows the cheapest route.
