Gold Find Barbarian - Leveling and items guide
Gold Find Barbarian — one of the most "classic" characters in Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction, and now in Diablo 2: Resurrected too.
Leveling Guide:
Starting at level one, the Barbarian is the character with the highest base Strength — 30.
You can start exploring Sanctuary now. As with every new character, go ahead and complete the Den of Evil quest, then head to Cold Plains and kill all the monsters on the way. By now you should already have hit level 3, and I suggest looking into buying a Berserker's Hatchet, Berserker's Hauberk, and Berserker's Headgear — that would greatly increase your survivability and damage, making it easier to move forward.
Take one point into Bash, Howl, Shout, and Find Potion. On stats, you should keep putting points into Strength and Dexterity only as much as needed to wear your gear — all remaining points should go into Vitality. Zero into Energy.
Playing online on Battle.net gives you the advantage of joining parties, so by around level six you should start looking for Tristram run games, which will level you to level 15 pretty quickly. When reaching level 15, running the Act 2 campaign is the next step for more levels.
Reaching level 20 is your goal, then you should start looking for cow run games — 4 or 5 runs should get you to level 24. The next step is to kill the Ancients in Act 5 and head into open Baal run games.
By now you should make your way to the Battle Orders skill, one of the most loved Barbarian skills, increasing both Life and Mana for you and your party members. Your priority should be maxing out Battle Orders for now.
- From level 25 to 40 — Normal Baal runs
- From level 40 to 60 — Nightmare Baal runs (if you can't get through Hell Act 5 after that, you can keep doing Nightmare Baal runs until level 70 or so)
- From level 60 to 75 — Hell Baal runs
The main job for the Barbarian from level 25 to 75 in Baal runs is basically giving BO (Battle Orders) to your party and leeching experience the whole way. Reaching level 75 should unlock the gear requirements for all the equipment needed for this character.
